Trucking Courses and Information

Today you have access to all kinds of great information – information that can save you months and even years of trial and error and help you make much more money much sooner in Trucking.

One of the keys to your success is just that – GET INFORMATION ABOUT TRUCKING and Become Informed!

Do that FIRST before you just jump in and get started.

My name is L.D. Sewell and I teach numerous courses on multiple platforms and many of them are focused on trucking as a business and as a career. You can find quite a few of them on Udemy – and all Udemy courses are very affordable.

Here is a link to my instructor profile page and from there you can see all the courses I currently offer there.

You can also find links and summaries on my Instructor/Author site www.ldsewell.com too and links to all the other resources I offer.

Begin as a Company Driver First

Once you have completed a few of my courses (most are an hour or two start to finish) and you have a better idea of what trucking is really all about then you need to make some decisions.

Is trucking right for you?

Only you can decide that – but I can tell you the questions you need to answer for yourself to help you make that decision.

If it is – the next thing you will need to decide on is HOW you wish to begin trucking.

You can start as a company driver or owner operator.

Both have advantages and drawbacks or challenges.

If you are rand new to both trucking and to business – my suggestion is to start as a COMPANY truck driver first. Get some experience and develop your basic skills to the point you are ready to take it to the next level – then when ready move on up to Owner Operator.

Even then there are a few paths available.

The first is leased on owner operator – and it may be a good route for you depending on your situation. The benefits are that there is less risk and less complication in doing it this way – the tradeoff is that there can be less money and there will be far less control over your own business as you will have to coordinate all of it through the motor carrier you lease onto.

Have a great day and make it count!

Best regards,

L.D. Sewell
